A lithium battery with increased capacity

The vehicle battery (or auxiliary battery) is the power source that supplies electricity to all your devices inside your vehicle when stationary: lighting, heating, refrigerator, television, etc. It is designed to deliver a continuous 12 V voltage.

To equip all our Selection vehicles, we have chosen lithium batteries. Indeed, they are smaller, lighter, recharge faster, and have a longer lifespan than AGM batteries.

To accommodate more powerful equipment for enhanced comfort, we’ve incorporated a higher-capacity battery. While standard Pilote models can be fitted with a 100 Ah lithium battery in option, the Selection series comes equipped with a 200 Ah TBB® battery. This doubled capacity allows for a more powerful inverter. But why is this important?

A more powerful inverter

A power inverter converts the direct current (12 V) supplied by the vehicle battery into alternating current (230 V), which can be used to power many of the same electrical appliances you use at home.

By increasing the lithium battery capacity to 200 Ah, we’ve been able to include a more powerful inverter as standard equipment in the Selection series. This TBB® inverter delivers 1,500 W, compared to the 1,300 W found in our other Pilote models. This allows for the integration of more powerful, high-performance electrical equipment, while still enabling you to run all your devices simultaneously.

A faster battery charging booster

How can you recharge your lithium battery independently during your trip? The easiest way is while driving. Indeed, thanks to an energy recovery system, your battery will recharge when your vehicle is in motion. However, this conventional system requires driving long distances to be efficient.

With a battery booster, you can recharge your battery faster while driving. It’s essential equipment! But not all boosters are created equal. Typically, all Pilote vehicles have a 25 A battery charging booster.

For the Selection series, we have integrated a 40 A booster. Because the booster’s capacity is 60% higher, it will allow you to recharge your vehicle battery even faster.

Dual 100W solar panels for quicker charging

Another efficient, practical, and eco-friendly solution to recharge your auxiliary battery: solar panels. Particularly effective in the summer and during the day (when sunlight is at its maximum), solar panels are a great way to supplement your battery charging.

The solar panels we offer at Pilote have a power output of 100 W and feature high-performance technology. This significantly improves the efficiency of the solar panels.

Selection series vehicles will come standard with two solar panels to increase the battery charge, allowing you to recharge it even faster.

A black Nespresso Essenza Mini by Krups coffee machine

Because we have increased the electrical power capacity of our Selection vehicles, and knowing how much you love a good cup of coffee, we have decided to include a black Krups® Nespresso® Essenza Mini coffee machine as standard equipment! It offers several advantages:

• ultra-compact and lightweight, it nevertheless delivers perfect coffee quality.
• with a sleek and minimalist design, it fits perfectly into the new Pilote 2025 interior design.
• two different modes are available, for delicious short (Espresso) or long (Lungo) coffees.
• fast, efficient, and economical, it heats up in less than 30 seconds, goes into standby mode after 2 minutes of inactivity, and turns off after 9 minutes of inactivity. Once again, performance is optimal.

For even more convenience, we have decided to include a capsule holder (with a capacity of about 12 capsules).

A powerful electric and diesel hybrid heater

All Selection series vehicles come standard with the Truma Combi D 6E heating system. Unlike other heaters in the same range, this hybrid system operates on both electricity and diesel, eliminating the need for gas. This heating system offers three key benefits to enhance your on-board comfort:

• it eliminates gas consumption for your heating system as it runs on diesel (thanks to an integrated burner that pumps from your vehicle’s tank).
• it can also operate on electricity (when connected to a 230 V supply) in addition to diesel, to better adapt to outdoor temperatures.
• it heats at a maximum power of 6,000 W: it therefore heats faster and harder than a classic 4,000 W heater.

To suit your needs and depending on the season, you can select from two operating modes:

• diesel mode: for cold days.
• diesel / electric mix: for very cold days.

The system also includes a 10L water heater.

An electric compression refrigerator

All Selection series vehicles are equipped with a Thetford® compressor refrigerator as standard.

Unlike the absorption refrigerators commonly found in recreational vehicles, which operate on gas, compressor refrigerators are electrically powered. They offer three key advantages for enhanced comfort:

• eliminated gas consumption for refrigeration.
• faster cooling and more consistent temperature maintenance, even in extreme heat.
• continued operation regardless of vehicle inclination.
